The folk you won’t find at Folk…

So, with a new brand name came a new digital strategy. How do we get people engaged with our agency, whilst at the same time communicate our values as a company? We thought a lot about this and thought it may be quite fun to highlight the kind of folk we are NOT.

Every agency worth their salt talks about a fairly generic set of traits that they have ‘creative, clever, process-driven’ and so on and we wanted to do something a little different. So, we made some dolls. Yes, hand-crafted in our very office, the 4 NOT-FOLK characters came to life in the evening over a couple of weeks of late nights, burning the singer foot-pedal. I have to admit, I did feel a little like Victor Frankenstein at times, although unlike his creation, much agency experience has taught me – these monsters really do already exist!! So, who did we create?

And how to engage? Well, once we got busy with our sewing machines, we thought about HOW to put these characters to use. We decided to create a competition involving the characters where those that have a doll can get to win a very lovely iPad.

If you’d like to be part of this competition, email helenbarclay@wearefolk.com and she’ll pop you the doll and instructions in the post …
