WANTED: PHP Developer

Things are hotting up in the Folk offices (despite the rain), and after welcoming lots of new and exciting clients we need a special Developer to join our design team too.

Folk are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to start with immediate effect.

If you’re able to lead our team of Developers, bring enthusiasm, focus and experinece to the role then we would love to hear from you.

We need you to have the following skills:

Full life-cycle software development as part of a team, assisting with the design and build of Magento-based ecommerce sites, with responsibilities including the following:

1. Creating high level technical specifications
2. Coding
3. Testing
4. Bug Fixing

Technical skills:

PHP5 ( Object Oriented / MVC )
MySQL
HTML, Javascript / JQuery, XML, CSS
Magento experience would be an advantage
Linux and Apache knowledge would be beneficial
Source control in a team environment – preferably GIT
High quality written and clear verbal communication skills
Experience working with Zend framework would also be an advantage

Minimum of 3 years experience.

Design Skills:

• Adobe Photoshop – Expert
• Adobe Illustrator – Expert
• Typographic skills – Expert
• HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AS3 – intermediate
• An interest in current technological trends and developments
• Understanding of accessibility issues (w3c compliant)
