The global e-tailer is adding another string to their bow with plans to launch cosmetics; great news for fashionistas!

2. Facebook Buys Storylane

Storylane may only be a youngster but it's already made waves big enough for Facebook to stop and take notice. The social network based around storytelling (clever concept ;)) has been purchased by the giant for an undisclosed sum.

3. Google Launches Artcopycode

Can the masses disrupt advertising? Google think so. In their new project called Artcopycode, Google invite people to collaborate and shape the industry. Great idea and no surprising this received a lot of buzz at this year's South by South West festival.

4. LinkedIn to Acquire Pulse?

According to a new report, LinkedIn is looking to add popular news reading app Pulse to their portfolio for as much as $100 million. Quite the investment!

5. Twitter Usage in the UK is Approximately 62% Engagement and 38% Broadcast

Brandwatch also discovered that more tweets in the UK mention brands (3.6 per cent) than mention music or celebrities. At approximately 12,600 tweets per minute, that's a lot of brand mentions.
