The Friday Five: 49th Edition

Looks like any barbecue plans will have to be put on hold this Bank Holiday weekend - it’s going to be a dreary one. Hopefully the Friday Five will make things feel a little brighter.

1. Pop-up

Design magazine, Frame, has re-imagined itself in the form of a pop-up shop. It’s not just any pop-up shop, though, it’s a mirror design marvel.

2. Go Slow

The classic taxi ride is frantic, on-the-clock, and hyper time conscious. The Turtle Taxi button, introduced in Japan, understands that sometimes we like to chill out, and take time to breathe.

3. eCRYSTAL BALL

Networked Insights aims to be the world’s best consumer psychic. By compiling vast social data everyday, they are able to predict future market trends with an astonishing 78% accuracy.

4. Take the 'ow' out of crowdfunding

Lighthouse is a new crowdfunding app, built on Bitcoin protocol. It works on pledges and goals like Indiegogo and Kickstarter, but doesn’t require any trusted third party to host your campaign.

5. Making Makers

Most people have heard of Etsy, the small craft business marketplace. Brit + Co., a similar company, seeks to rival the competition with a focus on craft tutorials and eCommerce.

That’s all for this week, have a great weekend.
