It’s no secret that the Folk office is pretty obsessed with Tim Walker. So this weekend we finally took a little trip to Somerset House in London to check out his exhibit.
We’re certainly glad we did! we found inspiration in every photo. every prop. From the mysterious to the magical, his talents as a visual storyteller truly are like nothing else.
We had a similar idea as John Lewis when it came to decorating for Christmas but on a slightly more erm, modest budget. Here in today’s glimpse from the grotto is a festive scene featuring our very own snowman who looks like he’s loving the -1 temperature in the Folk office. Well, that or he’s just finished doing his Christmas shopping…
Some agencies have fairy lights, others like us have a whole den of Christmas delights.
At some point during the night some festive fairies broke in determined to get Folk into a Christmassy mood.
Here’s the first of what we’re calling ‘Glimpses from the Grotto’ we hope you’re feeling festive…mince pie anyone?
Even the plug sockets in our office have got a touch of Folk to them.

Anny demonstrates how one item can instantly put a new spin on the everyday capsule wardrobe.
He layers a simple saffron scarf (an appropriately autumnal shade) over a staple jeans and vest combo instantly bringing the vibrant style of Amsterdam to the sleepy shores of Dorset.
